Roasted Okra with Golden Mix

Here’s an easy way to cook okra with our Golden Mix. This will get even those non-okra fans thinking twice about this wonderful vegetable. You’ll find the slimy texture that some people don’t like is gone with this cooking method.

Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes
Serving Size: 1

Ingredients:

1 cup okra, 1/2″ pieces
1 tablespoon Golden Mix
2 teaspoons oil

 

Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Wash, dry and cut okra into roughly 1/2″ pieces. Measure Golden Mix and oil.

 

Step 2: In a small bowl, mix Golden Mix with okra. Toss evenly – using your hands will help to distribute. Then add oil and continue to mix till okra is fully coated. If it’s looking like the okra needs more Golden Mix, or you want more kick, just add some more.

 

Step 3: Spread the okra on a roasting/baking sheet…or pizza sheet like we used here! Lining with parchment paper will help to make the cleaning process that much easier. Roast okra for about 20-30 minutes, until browned and crispy to your liking. Take a peak about halfway and stir.

 

Step 4: Enjoy immediately!
